В этой истории рассказывается о становлении новой королевы королевства Кей, девушке из современной Японии по имени Йоко Накаджима перенесенной в другой мир, становлении ее личности через опасности и душевные метания, через предательство и обретение друзей. Сразу никто ничего не рассказывает и не объясняет: все узнается в процессе.

Вторая История "Черного кирина":
Дела минувших дней, темп повествования снизился, психологизм, размышления.

Третья История::
С нами снова Йоко - снова динамично, заватывающе, и в то же время идут размышления о государстве, о том как им управлять, о личностях, грехах и обязанностях, о личной ответственности. Четвёртая История "наместника Эн".
